A relatively new member that took the time to scout, found several farms he wanted to deer hunt and this season it all came together. It also came from his third farm having hunted first what he scouted to be better cover habitat and potential success only to find that during the season they did not fulfill that expectation.

Archery deer hunting on your own from multiple stands, on row and forage crop farm land. The right combination of food and cover habitat in the right region of the state with a history of trophy production. That is all the self guided hunter requires. We have been in the hunt business since 1965. We offer only season long hunts on your own. This picture is of a non-resident hunter with his latest trophy whitetail deer, part of a collection or wallhangers from the central mid-west superior to any from his own home state.

Mid-America Hunting Association's Kansas, Missouri and Iowa archery whitetail deer hunts brings many advantages to the bow deer hunter that seeks a do it yourself hunt.
The first are three states of seasons to select from. Within each state every deer hunter does his own scouting, hang stands and have enough private lease land and stands or at least trees cut to provide more hunt options for every trip a field. Within this Association's approach to pay to hunt or managed hunts, the bow hunter has the flexibility to react to weather, changing rut and once he has eyes on a trophy whitetail the ability to maneuver in on the deer of his of choice.
Another archery season advantage are the lonely days in the stand over our leases and the ability to hunt the peak of the rut before firearms season. While at first appearance being left alone with the woods and the whitetail seems to be a great advantage every hunter soon learns that he is after a natural deer un-pressured by a lot of hunters in the area. And, every hunter reserves an individual numbered property and hunts that property alone.
Deer hunting flexibility though having deer hunter choices.
The point is that when on a archery hunt with us the deer hunter is no longer in search of just one place to hunt he has the reverse problem. Within our system he is actually subtracting by tens of thousand's of acres where he is not going to hunt. We will assist with that selection of where to hunt and where not to bow hunt and any recommendations made are in terms of archery limitations rather than just deer hunting.
The confidence the hunter has that we will ensure the best possible self guided deer hunt possible is that we are a business and not a hunting club. As a business with a return hunter orientation we know that it is a good hunt that will bring the hunter back for years of seasons to come. Have a read of our distinction from hunting clubs.
We have many areas that have what most will consider bow huntable ground and habitat that will meet the needs to constrict whitetail movement to the all too difficult 30 yard range.
This is different than some areas where the rifle is about the only means by which a successful hunt is possible. These firearms regions are where individual trees are landmarks and ranges out farther than most can accurately shoot a rifle may be observed.
The objective from our stand point is to give every self guided deer hunter as good an archery deer hunting experience as possible to ensure he will want to renew his membership. That means being placed on productive whitetail deer habitat and habitat within the right region of the state that has a history of trophy deer.
Once a bow hunter has several hunts in any one particular grouping of leases he may return to that area season after season for as long as he likes as well as develop new ground each trip.
By adding to the knowledge of various land we lease he will increase his options and soon find himself arguing with himself as to where to hunt. This argument will begin in earnest again at the close of each hunt and gain intensity as decision time comes as to where to hunt again.
After the first archery deer season the bow hunter will come to realize that he is not in competition with other hunters and while he may reserve land to hunt as much as 30 days in advance of his hunt he will soon take a more leisurely approach to reservations and decide where to hunt within a week of the day in the woods. Once he has one or more farms reserved he may adjust his reservation schedule to either remain in place on one or a couple of farms or expand out to new opportunities.
The bottom line is that we bow hunt ourselves and understand what it takes to have a good deer hunting experience. We also recognize a good hunt can occur even without a tag filled and seek the same in the deer hunters we allocate memberships to.
We will provide that good deer hunting opportunity while at the same time ensure that all hunters have absolute parity to all land under lease and available to all Association hunters. It probably goes without saying that the archery deer hunting option we provide is what we believe to be the best opportunity there is -- that is for the hunter that wants to hunt on his own.

Jon,
Here are a few pictures that I have taken of some of the bucks I have killed while archery hunting MAHA lands over the past 7 years. It has been an incredible experience learning the properties and viewing the phenomenal wildlife. Although I have not killed that B & C buck with a bow yet, I have no doubt that it is only a matter of time. Unfortunately I do not have pictures of all my kills. I tend to focus more on the hunts rather than the cinematography. With better planning in the future I can make those available as well. The largest buck taken to date is an 11 point scoring around 150 + points. Last year I killed a nice 9 that was in the 135 range. There are several other bucks that range from 125 to 135 points. What a rideā¦.. Thanks for giving us regular guys the ability to access such super properties.
Best regards, [name withheld as more and more deer hunters want to remain anonymous]
